In-keeping with the community spirit, every quarter a local market is held in our courtyard. From jams and pickles to eggs and cheese, meats, handicraft and jewellery, you might just find that little special something, plus an extra bit more!

Weekly quiz

Our Sunday night quiz is a favourite for regulars and new recruits alike! What better way to let your Sunday roast settle than with a bit a friendly competition!! The quiz starts at 7:30 and is free to enter. The prize for the winning team is a gallon of Cross Keys beer for you to drink at your leisure on your future visits. Be ready for a fun filled night with plenty of laughs in between the serious business of quizzing!

Takeaway fish & chips

If you find that you can’t stay to have a leisurely meal here why not take a little bit of The Cross Keys back home with you? We offer our fantastic Roosters beer-battered fish and chips to take away, wrapped in newspaper just like at the chippy!

Parcel minding service

Fed up with spending your Saturday mornings at the sorting office for that dratted parcel? The Cross Keys provides a handy parcel minding service! Arrange for your package o be delivered to The Cross Keys on any day after 10am and pick it up on your way home from work (along with a cheeky pint!) Good idea eh?!

Environmental & ethics

Here at The Cross Keys we understand the importance of environmental awareness and do our best to do our bit. We recycle our glass, cardboard and paper as well as our waste cooking oil. We stock fair-trade spirits, teas and coffee, local ales and organic food and beverages. Our kitchen prides itself on using only British ingredients and wherever possible, fantastic Yorkshire produce. No food-miles here!
